Made a last minute trip down to Nashville at the end of last week to do a photoshoot for a magazine. Worked out well, since we didn't have the chance to check the city out when we were at Bonnaroo back in June.
First, let me just say how much fun the city is...there's something going on all the time and live music is playing at all hours of the day (including at the airport!). Secondly, you couldn't meet a nicer bunch of people. I had to spend my first evening scouting locations and everywhere I went I was invited in for a drink or conversation, and people were genuinely helpful in pointing me to some cool places to do a shoot (even if it turned out to be at a saloon other than their own). Southern hospitality at its finest! I'm looking forward to going back some day soon and exploring the city more thoroughly. Even if you're not a country music fan, you can really appreciate the culture and soul that Nashville has.
